Here's something you probably don't know about me, I LOVE editing videos and putting together little film reels, especially ones about the Blazers. Unfortunately, the only editing software I have is iMovie, the free program that comes with macs, so the quality of the vids isn't amazing but here they are so check them out:

AND the newest edition:

Watching all those highlights just makes me that much more exited for next season!!

Also, if you haven't already be sure to check out this fake Rudy blog: http://blogderudyfernandez.blogspot.com/

Hedo or Hedon't? Apparently, He Definitely Don't.

Hedo Turkoglu, small/power forward from the Orlando Magic became a free agent at the end of this 2008-09 season and his future seemed to be headed towards becoming a Blazer. Our GM rolled out the red carpet and lavishly welcomed Hedo on Thursday this past week to talk to him, show him around and try to seal the deal on his future in Portland. Across the board it seemed this was a done deal but Toronto made a late plea for Hedo and as announced yesterday it appears he will in fact be signing with the Raptors:

Hours after agreeing in principle to a five-year contract with the Trail Blazers, free agent Hedo Turkoglu abruptly ceased negotiations and appears headed to the Toronto Raptors, a person directly involved in the negotiations told CBSSports.com.

"Hedo is headed to Toronto," said the person, who requested anonymity due to the sensitivity of the talks. "To sign."
(CBS Sports)

Well that all came out of nowhere!! I was preparing a turkey feast in celebration of our newest future Blazer and then he goes and dashes that party for the Raptors!! I must admit though I believe Turkoglu is a great player, I wasn't quite sure how well he would fit in with our guys and I don't think he was really what we should be looking for so my dreams aren't too broken over this conclusion. Apprently Hedo felt the same way or possibly as sources are saying, he went with his wife's wishes as she has appeared to have preferred Toronto to Portland. Whatever the reason is, Hedo won't be wearing a Blazer jersey next season and that is OK with me.
