Thursday night, we played the Denver Nuggets at home and I had the chance to attend that game, Unfortunately I was unable to take many pictures due to the intensity of that game. Long story short, we missed free throws, turned the ball over and allowed Carmelo Anthony to get in the paint and do what he does best. I have to give credit to Brandon Roy and Martell Webster who worked hard on Melo and did a pretty good job for the most part. Melo is a pretty good actor and likes to play dirty and scrappy and B Roy and Webster were able to stay with him pretty well.
Denver ended up winning that game 97 - 94. It was a pretty painful loss but I have to hand it to the Portland fans, they were in it till the end and remained on their feet for the last minute or so of the game. Brandon Roy was the team's high scorer with 30 points. He also had 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Rudy Fernandez had a hot night with 22 points and 4 rebounds.
On Halloween night, Oct 31st, the Blazers played Houston once again this time at Houston which as we all know has been a tough arena for the Blazers to play in. For most of the game, the Blazers stayed in contention but in the end they weren't able to come away with the win. Aaron Brooks (who was sportin' some OSU*Halloween* colored shoes) and Trevor Ariza were able to close the game for the Rockets. Houston won it 111 - 107. Brandon Roy had an INCREDIBLE night though posting 42 points and matching his career high 3-pointers made in one game with 5! He also had 6 rebounds and 4 assists. He was absolutely relentless but had little help out there on the court. LaMarcus Aldridge finally brought his game back with 27 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists.
Tonight the Blazers play the Thunder in Oklahoma City. One definite key tonight will be guarding Kevin Durant. Also we need fastbreak points for ourselves and need to stop fastbreaks for OKC, no turnovers tonight guys!
